I’m Ville Koskela, a 34-year-old Master of Science in engineering and the chief business development manager at Wind Controller. I come from Kokkola, but I currently live in Hyvinkää. I have three children – two girls aged seven and four, and a one-year-old boy.
I studied aeronautics and 2008 I was looking for a work place where to do my master’s thesis. I was interested in renewable energy and as it happened, one phone call took me to longer wings. I’m still on the same path.
I worked four years at WinWind as a blade engineer. My work included planning, maintenance support and project leading. 2014 I became the technical expert with sale duties at WiCo. Last year I started as a Business development director, so I still work on sale and customership.
The highlights of my work is when I can pull on the overalls and inspect the blades, that get longer and longer each year, at the port. The best thing about working in renewable energy is that for a top-level team like WiCo team, the future offers plenty of opportunities.
