Neoen chose Wind Controller’s new service concept
We are thrilled to announce, that we have signed a new operation and maintenance agreement with Hedet Vindpark AB, which is co-owned by Neoen Renewables Finland Oy and Prokon Wind Energy Finland Oy. Neoen is a French, globally operating independent power producer.
The contract covers the maintenance and operation of the substation and grid for their first wind park in Finland which is located in Hedet, Närpiö.
Hedet wind park is Neoen’s first operational wind park in Finland. The park was one of the first parks built without government subsidies. It has 18 turbines with a total production capacity of 81 MW. All of the production capacity is bought by technology company Google according to a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed between the companies.
Neoen is currently planning to increase their footprint in Finland with additional wind parks and a power reserve, which is already under construction in Lappeenranta.
”Our new full service agreement concept, which is a package of services to maintain all the electrical assets of a wind park, has received a positive response from the wind park industry. The concept includes remote monitoring, which meets all the new requirements. It also includes a comprehensive package of preventive and corrective maintenance measures to keep the park running without interruptions. It is a pleasure to see that the concept has proven to be the right solution to the investors also in Hedet wind park” says Wind Controller’s Business Development Director Kimmo Kaappola.
“At Neoen, we are very thrilled to start this co-operation with Wind Controller and we see this contract as a starting point for effective co-operation between the companies.” says Pekka Pyyny, Asset Manager for Neoen Finland.
