WiCo and ABO Wind announce a new co-operation agreement
It is our pleasure to announce a new service agreement with Kestilän Kokkonevan Tuulivoima Oy, a Finnish subsidiary of a global green energy developer ABO Wind AG. ABO Wind, originating from Germany, has more than 25 years of experience of developing wind parks around the world.
ABO Wind’s new Kokkoneva wind park in Siikalatva is expected to start producing clean energy in 2022. Construction of the site has begun in September 2020. The park consists of nine Nordex N149 wind turbines with a maximum power output of 43,2 MW in total. WiCo will later be responsible for the operation & maintenance of electrical distribution system on site. It is a full package including all the assets from a grid connection point down to the turbines including a HV- substation and collector cabling between the turbines and the substation. The asset is monitored 24/7 and maintained with a comprehensive, corrective and preventive maintenance service. In addition, the package is enhanced with a mandatory Operations Manager of electrical installations service for entity.
”This is yet more proof, that our concept of offering a ”all inclusive” type of maintenance and operations contract is perfect fit to major developers such as ABO Wind. We are proud to provide support for their continuously expanding portfolio of wind parks in Finland.” says Wind Controller’s Business Development Director Kimmo Kaappola.
“ABO Wind is looking forward to continuing a successful cooperation with Wind Controller in the field of O&M services for the substation and electrical network in Kokkoneva. As in the past projects ABO can always rely on the expertise and extensive know-how of WiCo in keeping one of the key pieces of equipment in the wind farm well monitored and maintained.“ says Aapo Koivuniemi, Managing Director of ABO Wind Oy.
