Wind Controller to provide operation and maintenance for Kannus wind park
Wind Controller signed an operation and maintenance agreement with wpd Kannuksen Tuulipuisto Oy.
Kannus wind park is being built at the moment and it will be connected to grid later this year. Kannus wind park consists of 14 turbines with total capacity of 60 MW. wpd Kannuksen tuulipuisto Oy sells the production to technology company Google according to a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed last year.
“We are delighted to be able to be part of this project, which is one of the first subsidy free wind parks in Finland” says Wind Controller’s Managing Director Kari Koivikko.
“We signed several similar agreements for subsidized wind parks a couple of years ago, which enabled us to develop and tune our service package. Thus, now we are prepared to scale up our services for increasing amounts of wind projects and fulfill the new requirements deriving from PPA’s.”
“wpd Kannuksen tuulipuisto Oy is very pleased to have its substation operation and maintenance contract signed with Wind Controller” confirms Heikki Peltomaa, Managing Director of wpd Kannuksen tuulipuisto Oy.
”We believe PPA is the new way to realize projects in Finland and for this we need good cooperation companies like Wind Controller.”
